When it comes to winter, my favourite way of dressing is layering. Often the best pieces in my wardrobe are the thinnest material, much like this Breton stripe tee, so layering it over a polo neck is the perfect way to add warm and interest to any outfit. Either piece worn separately, though staples, wouldn’t be anything groundbreaking now would it…Florals for summer, groundbreaking…
I decided to pair this striped piece with my new cord pinafore that I picked up from New Look, which is actually a midi style but on tall girls like myself, it comes just above the knee so perfect for both work or casual weekends like this one. I’m not a huge fan of midi lengths anyway so for once, something coming up short is a bonus for me!
Now with dresses, I’m normally a flats wearer but I decided to go for a change this time and pair this look with my favourite Next boots and then a smaller bag that could be worn both on the shoulder or cross-body. For outerwear, I was struggling with which coat to wear with this dress but in the end I opted for this faux fur bomber style coat as it’s an unusual fit for the material and I love how super cosy it is for these winter days.
